Tono Fernández examines the dilemmas of the cities of the future

We discussed Technology and Architecture at Espacio NAN

Last Thursday, March 14, the Espacio NAN event “Technology and Architecture: an alliance for people” was held at the XTalento Digital Hub of Fundación ONCE (Madrid).

The event covered a wide range of topics, from developments in home automation to artificial intelligence, innovative building solutions and smart cities.

Within the framework of the development of inclusive, sustainable, and smart cities, Tono Fernández Usón, Director of Large-Scale Projects at IDOM, gave a presentation on how we approach this type of work at IDOM.

Within the framework of scientific theories of the city, which rely on innovation as a tool to manage the growing complexity of cities, the talk focused on concepts such as density, the generation of meeting spaces and the detailed study of human activities. These are all necessary urban conditions for the development of resilient ecosystems, with quality of life and beauty as underlying aspirations throughout the process.
