77 MW Cogeneration Plant Aconcagua (Chile) in Single Cycle Gas Turbine configuration and a steam production of 125 t/h

Chile

The nominal power of the plant is 77 MWe, in addition to a production of 125 t / h of superheated steam at 43 bar. The refinery will use steam production as a heating element replacing the current gas boilers, which will remain redundant systems. Electricity production will be exported to the national grid and will have the capacity to support 100% of the refinery’s operation in case of power failure.

As a differentiating element of the project, the Interconnection Rack with the refinery stands out (steam collector of 16 “in diameter and 2.1 km in length), whose route runs through the refinery and through public areas.

On behalf of the company Duro Felguera, contracted by ENAC for the construction of the project in EPC mode, IDOM has carried out basic and detailed engineering, as well as technical assistance during construction.
