The 500 kV substation and overhead power lines design CCGT Caleta Obispo, carried out by IDOM for icPower, covers the basic engineering for a 500 kV substation and 127 km of overhead power lines to evacuate the energy generated by the 1,600 MW combined cycle power plant in Cardones, Chile.
CCGT Caleta Obispo includes the design of the AIS switchyard, steel lattice towers, electrical studies, risk assessment, as well as the Master Plan, cost estimation, and technical support for the client during the bidding phase.
In addition to electrical studies and risk assessment, IDOM has produced the Master Plan for design and construction, cost estimation and technical support to the client during the phase of proposals to the Government.
