Smart assessment system for sustainability certifications

IDOM has developed a tool called the Sustainability Certification Calculation Tool (SCCT) for a leading infrastructure company. It is a digital solution that automates and optimizes the Envision certification process using artificial intelligence. The intelligent evaluation system manages all project documentation, automatically classifies it, and analyzes its content to address each requirement of the Envision standard, calculating the final score in a well-founded manner.

Based on this information, the tool automatically generates supporting documents, incorporating direct references to the source fragments and files that underpin each response. Additionally, the system proposes recommendations for improvement, based on technical and comparative criteria as well as prior experience from other projects.

The platform integrates a modular ecosystem of intelligent agents, an Azure-based cloud architecture, SharePoint storage, and a web interface designed specifically for this organization’s sustainability teams.

The goal is to reduce the administrative burden, improve traceability, ensure technical consistency, and maximize the achievable Envision score for each project.

The modular design allows the solution to be extended to other certification systems such as LEED or BREEAM, as well as to evolve the analysis engine by incorporating new AI models and future advanced functionalities.
