Technical Due Diligence and Lenders’ Technical Advisory for the Expansion of the TTIA Container Terminal at the Port of Algeciras

IDOM has been advising TTI Container Terminal in Algeciras for several years in different aspects related to new investments, both in equipment and systems. Technical due diligence was carried out analyzing the possibilities of expanding the terminal and refinancing the debt obligations. The investments included, among others, the enlargement of the STS cranes to adapt them to service ULCS vessels, the procurement of new yard equipment, as well as information systems and technologies.

Subsequently, IDOM developed the technical consultancy related to the project financing operation, linked to the entry into the shareholding of the shipping company CMA CGM, and is providing technical advice to the banking consortium financing the operation in aspects such as: technical review of EPC contracts, validation of progress and contractual milestones, follow-up and monitoring of engineering, procurement, and construction, etc.
