Extension of Tabuk airport
Saudi Arabia
Comprehensive design for urban growth in Saudi Arabia
The Tabuk airport expansion in Saudi Arabia addresses the increasing demand for domestic and international flights as well as the rapid urban development in the region. The Prince Sultan bin Abed Al-Aziz Airport, which began commercial operations in 2011, is located in a commercial area of an agricultural city in northern Saudi Arabia, adjacent to a military base.
A commercial area, responding to the rapid urban growth of the area
IDOM, together with IMAR and GACA, leads the development of all expansion projects for the airport, including the passenger terminal, cargo terminal, apron, taxiways, parking areas, access roads, infrastructure, and auxiliary buildings. This comprehensive expansion ensures that Tabuk Airport will meet projected growth and service needs through 2041, becoming a key hub for connectivity and economic development in the area.
