At IDOM, Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) engineering plays a critical role in defining the performance, comfort, and efficiency of buildings. We design and integrate the systems that regulate thermal, visual, and acoustic comfort, ensuring that temperature, humidity, air quality, lighting, and noise levels are carefully controlled to support the intended use of each space.

Our approach treats building services as an integral part of the architecture, fully coordinated from the earliest design stages rather than added as independent systems. This integrated methodology allows us to optimize performance, reduce energy demand, and ensure that systems are efficiently embedded within the building fabric.

We design high-performance, low-energy MEP systems using advanced analysis and modelling tools, balancing passive strategies—such as natural ventilation, daylighting, and thermal mass—with efficient active systems where required. Working collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, and specialist consultants, we deliver robust, flexible, and sustainable solutions that align client aspirations with technical and operational requirements.
